Kammer to Juniata Transmission Project
Project Overview
Enabling safe, reliable and affordable energy in West Virginia and Pennsylvania
The proposed Kammer to Juniata Transmission Project is a new approximately 220-mile, 765-kilovolt (kV) transmission line in Northern West Virginia and central Pennsylvania.
Kammer-Juniata is designed to:
- Strengthen and enhance the regional electric grid
- Enable reliable and affordable energy for homes, farms and businesses
- Spur economic development in the region
This line is about helping give homes, businesses and communities a grid they can count on for decades.
The regional grid operator (PJM) selected American companies: NextEra Energy Transmission and Exelon Corporation to jointly develop this project.
We are committed to building this project the right way — through early, transparent engagement and genuine partnerships with landowners and communities. We prioritize voluntary agreements and thoughtful routing to minimize local impacts while delivering long‑term regional benefits.
